This is all you need for the Iced Colombian Latte

To make an iced Spanish latte at home, you’ll need a few ingredients that you probably already have at home. I’ve listed them below so that you can have a look:

    • 17 grams of Smuggler Colombian
    • 1/2 cup (0.12 l) of whole milk (milk of your preference)
    • 2 tbsp (30 grams) condensed milk or simple syrup
    • Ice cubes

Instructions for this refreshing cold drink is even simpler than the ingredients list!

    1. Start brewing your coffee. Once brewed, use a few ice cubes to cool it down a tad bit.
    2. Get a tall-ish glass and add the condensed milk/syrup
    3. Add the cooled down coffee on top and stir well
    4. Add more ice cubes to make the drink cold - we use around 8 regular sized ice cubes
    5. For the last step, pour the milk on top, and your iced Colombian latte is ready!

    Tips and suggestions

Basically, you can choose any type of milk, any coffee and use condensed milk or any other sweet syrup. We like to use whole milk for the maximum flavour but you can also go with skim milk if that’s your thing.

It is also possible to use cold foamed milk that will add an extra texture to your coffee. Again, this is up to you and how you like your coffee.

The hot version uses either condensed milk or white granulated sugar; to make this into an iced drink, it’s best to make a simple syrup instead of using raw sugar. We prefer using simple syrup because it dissolves easier than just raw sugar in a cold environment.
